Today Was a Good Day

Christmas Season is officially upon us. Thanksgiving was this past weekend, and it was awesome, but now it’s time to start listening to Christmas music and get started on all of the fun Christmas traditions. Today my wife and I woke up early to get some chores done, then we went on a hunt for some Ugly Christmas Sweaters (a necessity for this time of year). We went to 4 or 5 different stores hunting for the perfect one. We saw polar bear sweaters, elf sweaters, Santa sweaters, cat’s wearing Santa hat sweaters, gingerbread men sweaters, and a billion others. All just as bad, which made them so good. The one that grabbed my attention was a black sweater with a giant moon on it. An alien was dressed like Santa Clause with a bunch of green alien reindeer pulling his sleigh across the sky. In the bottom corner it said, “believe”. I picked it up laughing at it because it was so bad. That’s when I noticed that it had batteries included with it. We flipped the mini switch inside the sweater and lights started flashing across the sweater. It was a piece of art. Naturally I bought it, and wore it the rest of the day. My wife got a similar sweater with the lights and the batteries, but hers had Santa wearing cool sunglasses on it. After that we went home to start decorating our apartment. We pulled out the mini Christmas tree. (It’s about 1 foot tall) and decorated it while listening to Christmas music and drinking hot chocolate…. Actually I just realized we never drank the hot chocolate… we just talked about doing it. Dang it. Now I want hot chocolate… Then we started making plans for all of the Christmas presents we want to buy for our family and friends. Naturally, I’m stoked. Merry Christmas everyone!
