Ryan Hamilton- Comedy Is Persuasive

Ryan Hamilton is funny, he definitely has that. Is comedy meant to be persuasive though? I think it is. I think it is a way to say all of the things that are too scary, personal, outrageous, and brutally honest to say to someone to their face. Instead, you just joke about it.
I had a friend who used to say, "There is truth behind every joke." He was right too. He did a lot of things that were annoying to me, but I was too shy and nice to say, "Hey that is annoying." So instead I would make some sort of joke, and then laugh and say that I was joking around. That was easier than telling him the things that bugged me. In my defense, it went both ways. He would joke around about things that bothered him about me too, and that was just our way of trying to be persuasive without destroying the friendship. I think it worked. That was back in Junior High and we are still friends to this day.
